Project Manager / Estimator Opportunity at GEO Environmental Services

As our company continues to grow, we're looking for a qualified and motivated
Project Manager / Estimator to join our team and help us price, oversee, and complete environmental testing and remediation projects while reducing oversight burden on leadership.
Position Overview
Title: Project Manager / Estimator
Location: Maryland
Type: Full-Time & Field-Based
Your Role
- Prepare cost estimates for environmental testing and remediation projects
- Oversee field operations for lead paint, mold, and water damage restoration projects
- Analyze bid documents and conduct detailed takeoffs
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
- Participate in pre-bid meetings and walkthroughs
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with MDE regulations and COMAR/HUD requirements
- Coordinate with technicians, lead workers, and supervisors to maintain sub-10-day turnaround times
- Manage multiple concurrent projects to support $100k+ monthly revenue goals
- Review inspection reports and ensure regulatory compliance before client delivery
- Train and develop team members on safety protocols and certification maintenance
- Interface with clients, property managers, and government agencies
What We Are Looking For
- Proficient in English both orally and written
- Experience in environmental services, construction, or related field supervision
- Knowledge of lead paint inspection, mold remediation, and environmental testing procedures
- Understanding of MDE regulations, OSHA 10/30 requirements, and environmental compliance
- Strong estimating and analytical skills for project pricing
- Strong leadership skills with ability to make critical field decisions independently
- Experience managing teams and subcontractors
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong communication skills for client relations and technical reporting

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Procurement & Estimator to join our team. This hybrid role is responsible for both preparing accurate cost estimates for environmental testing and abatement projects and leading procurement efforts to secure government contracts, bids, and long-term opportunities.
This is a dynamic position for someone who thrives in both
numbers and strategy—an individual who can confidently build cost estimates and also navigate procurement portals to
find and win bids that fuel company growth.
Key Responsibilities
Estimator Functions:
- Prepare cost estimates for lead paint, mold, and environmental testing projects.
- Analyze bid documents, perform detailed takeoffs, and create competitive pricing proposals.
- Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure pricing and material availability.
- Conduct site visits, pre-bid meetings, and walkthroughs.
- Ensure compliance with MDE regulations, COMAR/HUD requirements, and OSHA standards.
- Review inspection reports and ensure accuracy before delivery to clients and agencies.
- Support field operations by coordinating with technicians, supervisors, and subcontractors.
Procurement Functions:
- Identify, track, and pursue government contracts and RFP opportunities in Maryland and surrounding regions.
- Manage registration and compliance in procurement platforms (e.g., eMaryland Marketplace Advantage, SAM.gov).
- Write, organize, and submit bid responses in compliance with government requirements.
- Develop relationships with contracting officers, prime contractors, and agency representatives.
- Monitor awarded contracts to ensure compliance and renewal opportunities.
- Collaborate with leadership to align procurement goals with revenue targets.
What We Are Looking For
- Strong estimating skills with proven experience in environmental services, construction, or related industries.
- Familiarity with government procurement processes and ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Knowledge of lead paint testing/abatement, mold remediation, and environmental compliance standards.
- Proficiency in analyzing bid specs and preparing competitive proposals.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Excellent communication skills for both client relations and technical reporting.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- OSHA 10/30, MDE certifications, or related environmental credentials a plus.
